What is holistic counselling?
Holistic Counselling means looking at the whole person. We connect the body, the mind, the environment, emotions, relationships, and the spirit to live a fuller and truer version of ourselves.
Counselling for Life’s Transitions
There are times in life when the old ways of being no longer seem to fit.
Perhaps you are at a crossroads in your career, becoming a mother, moving through separation or relationship change, experiencing grief, feeling exhausted by the demands of everyday life, or simply wondering what comes next.
These transitions can bring anxiety, uncertainty and a loss of connection with yourself.
Counselling can provide a space to pause, reflect and understand what you need — without judgement and without having to have all the answers.
At The Heart and Earth Collective, we can explore both the challenges you are experiencing now and the deeper patterns, needs and values that may be asking for your attention.
Therapy with me is not about fixing you—it is about creating a space where every part of you can be met with curiosity and care. We work at a pace that feels safe, grounded, and respectful of your lived experience.
Holistic Counselling Considerations
The mind
Exploring and working with your thoughts, beliefs, and self-talk. Maybe some of these unhelpful beliefs are keeping you stuck.
Body
Exploring sensations in the body, posture, breath, and the nervous system. We work with awareness, grounding, breath, and movement to keep you feeling safe and balanced.
Emotions
Naming and expressing feelings. Learning to sit with them and experience them rather than suppressing them. This is helpful when we build resilience.
Environment
Lifestyle, family, work, stress, resources, and support. What is lacking in your life? What can we build on?
Relationships
How were your early relationships? What are your current relationships like? Discovering patterns so we can change them and becoming aware of boundaries.
Spirit
What is your purpose and meaning? What is your identity, culture, and values? What do you truly long for? How can your life become more aligned with these values and what is your sense of Self?
The messiness of being human
Can we allow ourselves greater freedom to be just the way we are? Can we accept all aspects of ourselves? Can we grieve what did not come about and let go of unreasonable expectations? Are we able to laugh at ourselves and love ourselves a little more? There is more freedom beyond the self-judgement and the harsh inner critic. There is hope for a more joyful life.
